The unimaginable has happened. A paper-ready family has stepped up to adopt our beautiful boy. I just found out, via EMAIL, not an hour ago. There, I said it. It is done. He will have a family and that is all that matters. Sure, we are TOTALLY and COMPLETELY DEVASTATED that it is not to be us, but the important thing is that he will grow up loved and protected, and not wasted in some miserable institution. We love him so much and we know that God has big plans for his future.
To you, Tanner...please know that we fought very hard for you for a very long time and that we will ALWAYS love and cherish you. You will hold a special place in our hearts FOREVER.

I can't believe this has happened, that you weren't afforded that little bit of extra time to complete the necessary steps to go get him! I know you need time grieving your loss and I'm very sorry for you, but I'm also happy for him who will not need to see the inside of the institution. Maybe, like Jan said, a window is open. Maybe sweet Anne-Marie is waiting for you?

ReplyDeleteDear Family, We are sorry for your loss and hope time is healing some wounds. We too lost a little boy, who we hosted for 10 weeks and fell in love with. We were as you say, devastated. 2 years now have passed and we think of him often but understand he is well and happy. We still grieve but have been blessed by adopting 3 beautiful children since then. Things work mysteriously and we send you strength.... B&R.
