Here we go again.
Changes to required paperwork for Tanner's country...the lease agreement that we worked so hard to get is now useless. We found out two days ago that the officials in Tanner's country are requiring a new, more formal document for those who rent their homes. *sigh* We are hopeful that FIL will cooperate and help us to get the document that we need, and in a timely manner.
We have already been slightly delayed in submitting our dossier due to the two week "vacation" going on now, during which Tanner's country is not accepting new dossiers. Due to the backlog that is occuring, a few of our documents will expire before we would be allowed to submit, so we are redoing those again (for the third time). We were now looking at a submission date sometime in August...with the new requirement, we just don't know.
If you have negative comments about these new developments, please keep them to yourself, as this is TOTALLY NOT OUR FAULT. We had EVERYTHING needed to go (waiting on our RR stateside helpers to approve everything), until this closure was announced and the new requirement was implemented! We are just praying that Tanner will not be sent to the institution before we can get what we need and get to him.
If you are the praying type, please pray with us that FIL will cooperate and we can get there before this happens.
Thanks for hanging in there with us, as we walk this extremely bumpy road to bring our son home!

Sending HUGE hugs and prayers, Hang in there in the end it will all be worth it,
ReplyDeleteLove ya,
'Elaine
That stinks!! I was just getting on here to ask when he would be moved from the available list on RR. Will he be moved to the committed list once you submit your papers? And what if someone else speaks for him? Will they be notified that you are trying hard to get him? Praying for fast paper work. He needs you!
ReplyDelete@Jenny- He will not be moved until we send the dossier...if someone else is able to commit to him, we will lose him. As far as RR is concerned we have no committment to him until our dossier is sent, and they will NOT tell a prospective family that we are still working for him. They do not believe that we will complete the adoption, and their main focus is to find him a family before he is sent to the institution. We are NOT giving up tho, and will fight until he is home with us, where he belongs!
ReplyDeleteI am praying for yall. Can you further explain this new requirement? We had our lease submitted, but our girl is not yet available, so I wonder if we will have to re-do part of our dossier because of this. Can you leave a comment on my blog, if you have info you can share? Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Keeping yall in our prayers... hope you get to your son soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm confused about how the "backlog" holds you up if your dossier isn't sent yet.
ReplyDeleteHe is such a precious boy and I so want him in a family. He is doing very well, but he won't in a mental institution. I know I'm not telling you something you don't know.
There are a lot of precious boys there. It is so hard to think of them going to an institution.
I cry for them a lot since I have been home.
Tami,
ReplyDeleteHang in there! We had the same thing happen to us for one of our adoptions. It's so frustrating, but when Tanner is in your arms it will become a distant memory.
We have to re-do stuff too. I'm praying for you to get it all done, and quickly Tami!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you are having to redo some of your paperwork, especially after you worked so hard and waited so long to get your FIL to sign the paper! I will pray that he agrees to complete the new paper in a timely manner and that you are able to submit your dossier in early August. I'm praying for sweet Tanner too, that he will be kept at the orphanage until you are able to get to him. Try to keep your head up and stay strong!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cristina
Did you commit again to him?? He's on the myfamilyfoundme page
