Well, lets see...
Ralph has had all of the tests and it turns out that he has Barrett's Esophagus, due to acid reflux. There it is. We know. There is no treatment available, just take medication and modify the diet to help prevent the reflux from eating away the esophagus any further. I am happy to say that he IS feeling much better and will be returning to work next week.
We had our homestudy visit on the 30th, and it went well. Our social worker was really nice and seemed impressed that hubby has worked for the same company for 30 years and we have lived in our house for 23 years...continuity is good, I guess. LOL! Yep, we are boring. :) So, we owe the agency a couple of clearances that must be redone, then we can finally submit the homestudy to USCIS for approval!
Thats all for now, praying for a quick approval from USCIS.

ReplyDeleteYour little RR sweet boy is precious...I want to adopt but my husband thinks we are too old..I am 47 and he is 51...I don't think so but his worries are for when we are gone who will take care of our adopted child. We have a grandbaby already! Do you have any concerns or do you just trust? I live in the trust mode but my sweet hubby lives in the practical mode. So happy for your family and I hope you have your little fellow home soon. God Bless!

ReplyDeleteDo you have a blog?
We don't worry about the future...Ralph and I both have siblings born when we were teenagers...someone will be glad to take our Tanner if we are no longer able to care for him. You have older kids who would more than likely do the same. If you really want to do it, just go for it! Thanks so much for the good wishes!
